Central Service Auto Repair is a family run business, Celebrating over 50 years of business in the community. We’ve been a CAA-approved repair site for over 50 years. We are a one-stop shop, from oil changes to electronic diagnostics. Dave Smith and Cameron MacLean will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
Central Auto Service has been serving Niagara since 1969.

Starting in 1969…
Central Service was established by Larry Smith & Don Kerr on March 10th, 1969 as Central Gulf on the corner of St. Paul St. and Ontario St.
After a few years, Smith & Kerr moved to the current location at 63 Welland Ave. where it remained a full service automotive repair and gas station – eventually becoming a Petro Canada.

Saying Goodbye to Gulf & Petro Canada
In 1995, Petro Canada wanted out of the auto repair business to provide only gas and convenience. We remained Central Service Auto Repair and no longer sold gas.
Kerr retired and Smith carried on running the business. Meanwhile, Larry’s son Dave started working as an apprentice, then tradesman, and eventually to the front of office – all while learning the family business from his father.
From 16 years of age, Larry committed his working life to the automotive trade, eventually retiring at the age of 81.

Nowadays…
Dave continues the ownership and is committed to serving his clients the same high quality service and repair set out by his father more than 50 years ago.
With their trained and qualified staff, Central Service looks forward to many more years of professionalism to continue serving the Niagara Region for all of their automotive needs.
